Today, the FBI revealed they’ve been investigating one of the largest college admissions cheating schemes in the history of the United States through which $25 million changed hands and multiple CEOs and celebrities have been charged. Here’s what folks across Twitter are saying about the cheating scandal:
It's fun to drag Aunt Becky but there are a bunch of other rich mofos complicit in this besides Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin, so here is a list of everyone charged in Operation Varsity Blues: 🔬👀https://t.co/9Zf1fiyjre pic.twitter.com/HDLKIVsuXE

I think the very first stories were framed around Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman because they were actresses that people were immediately familiar with. But this cheating story is way, way bigger than them.

If Netflix and HBO dont give us two seperate documentaries on this College Admission Scandal I will be livid. Scrap the Gervais show this is the real comedy the people need. 2.5 million for undergrad, a comedy special.

This whole college scandal is WILD. I feel like all the kids are gonna get six figure book deals and I'm already mad.

Even politicians have chimed in including Democratic U.S. Representative Tulsi Gabbard
Yes. In case there was any doubt. The system is rigged in favor of the rich and powerful. #CollegeScam #CollegeAdmissionsScandal https://t.co/hzbbcx0CHe

My upset lies in not only the ableism of the scandal, but the ramifications for disabled students seeking accommodations for the SAT/ACT going forward.

It's already a challenge to get accommodations; now there will be more hoops to go through, esp. for those of color.
Fascinating thing about this college admissions scandal, how did the schools not notice the huge number of admitted athletes who never played the sport they were admitted to play? Shouldn’t that have been a (massive) red flag?

I am grateful every day to have been raised by parents who taught me lying and cheating to get ahead was, you know, morally wrong.

Isn’t it weird our society just accepts that donating a building is an ok way to get into a good college? https://t.co/znFXLjdXSg

Are the people at the colleges and universities also indicted for accepting bribes? I feel like I need a new primer on this college admissions scandal beyond the celebrities who paid all that money.
